My Red Foxtail Millet 2024
Growing Millet again afyer a long break.
By: SiteAdmin > Sat 10th Aug 2024 01:38 am

It has been about 3 years since I last grew millet. I had a small bag of seed left from my last crop back in 2021 and sowed them. Below are some photos of what I grew. There are not many, but they grew pretty damn big. I will use the seed to plant again next year.

that looks amazing, do you think it would be feasable to grow this in pots as I don't have a garden (my bird shed and aviary are in residence and take up all of the space).

what time of year do you sow it?

Yes, you can grow it easily in pots but each seed must be about 2 - 3 inches apart. They like full sun, as much as they can get. Sow directly in to the pots about 1cm deep in March - April. They take around 12 weeks to finish.
