I hear you!
I think after my owl died, it broke me too much to do it again, that kind of bond isn't always there with every animal. just sometimes we get that special one that has that something extra there with them that makes them shine a little more brightly than the others. like your little grass finch. So I defiitely hear you.
I did start putting together a video for my channel, when going through my clips, I could hear my long-lost grass finch, I had to stop. I didn't make the video in the end. Trouble is, I hear him in a lot of the clips I made over the years.
Sorry, I found a slight forum issue with posting, should be fixed now :)
ahh I wondered why I couldnt reply.
I was just trying to say I am sorry to hear that, its so hard.
I take it all as a learning curve and add it to experience. This is why I studied birds in such great detail. Poopology, microbiology, anatomy. I wanted to learn everything I could to help others
never considered the veterinary profession? avian vets are so difficult to find, as yet I have never been able to use the one thats here, hes always fully booked or on holiday so end up having to use a regular vet who pretty much just prescribes baytril and orders poop cultures/tests.
I studied to become an avian vet, to be fair, papers and scores do not make you an avian vet, experience is what makes you an avian vet. I learnt faster and easier because for me, it is a lifelong passion and I really care about birds. The more you are interested in something, the easier it is to learn.
he has passed and is at peace now.
thank you for your help.
Sorry to hear that. You did everything you could for him.
